At BoardroomUK we help growing businesses build better boards. Our work sits at the point where strategy, leadership and accountability meet, and it makes a practical difference to the founders, directors and organisations we support. If you are curious about how businesses are run, enjoy solving problems with clients and care about doing things properly, we would like to hear from you.
Working at BoardroomUK
We are a London-based team founded in 2022, bringing together governance specialists, board recruiters, client managers and technology support. Because we are still a growing business, everyone has the chance to shape how we work, take on real responsibility early and see the direct impact of what they do.
Our clients range from founder-led scale-ups to family businesses, investor-backed firms and charities. That variety means no two weeks are quite the same. One day you might be preparing a board skills matrix for a fintech; the next you might be helping a family business set up a secure virtual boardroom or supporting a director search for a manufacturing company.
We work collaboratively, share knowledge openly and expect everyone to treat client information with the discretion that boardroom work demands.
Our values
The values that guide our client work also shape how we work together:
- Integrity: we give honest advice and do what we say we will.
- Practicality: we focus on outcomes that make a real difference, not on paperwork for its own sake.
- Independence: we encourage people to challenge assumptions, including our own.
- Inclusion: we value different backgrounds and perspectives, in our team and on the boards we help build.
- Partnership: we support one another and treat clients as long-term partners.
You can read more about our story and values on our About page.
Benefits
We want people to do their best work and to grow with us. Our benefits are designed with that in mind:
- Hybrid working: a mix of time together in London and time working from home, agreed with your team and shaped around client needs.
- Learning budget: an annual allowance for courses, professional qualifications, conferences and books relevant to your role.
- Professional development: exposure to experienced chairs, non-executives and advisers, with regular one-to-ones and clear development conversations.

Full details of the package for each role are shared during the hiring process.
How we hire
We aim to make our hiring process fair, straightforward and respectful of your time. A typical process looks like this:
- Application: send your CV and a short covering note explaining why the role interests you.
- Introductory call: a 30-minute conversation with a member of the team to talk about the role and your experience.
- Practical exercise: a short, realistic task related to the role, discussed together rather than marked in isolation.
- Final interview: a conversation with members of the leadership team, with plenty of time for your questions.
- Offer: we aim to give feedback and a decision promptly after the final stage.
If you need any adjustments at any stage of the process, just let us know and we will be happy to help.
